You may recall Jerome was arrested for felony gun possession during a visit to NYC last September. He voluntarily checked in his firearm at the Empire State Building, as it was legally registered in another state, and he believed he was in compliance with the law. The somewhat good news for 2nd Amendment advocates is that the Manhattan District Attorney has offered a plea deal to a misdemeanor with no jail time. But Jerome adamantly refuses any deal. He wants all charges dropped. Period.

On Monday, April 16th New Hampshire Journalist and Super Activist Jason Talley stared down the state. Facing two years in jail for bringing a camera into a Keene courthouse, Talley refused to accept any plea deal insisting upon fighting both the charges and the legitimacy of the ban. Then, after the jury was already selected and his trial was moments from beginning, the judge suddenly and unexpectedly came to his senses and dismissed the charges against him.

On Tuesday, Staff Sgt. Frank G. Wuterich was sentenced to a maximum of 90 days in prison, but avoided any time in the brig because of a plea deal. The military judge was obligated to abide by the arrangement between prosecutors and defense attorneys, which amounts to a reduction in rank -- to private -- and a pay cut.

A Minnesota man was arrested while recording police as they called paramedics to assist a stranger covered in blood... because the officer said it was a violation of HIPAA regulations. Cops also stole his camera... but the audio was recorded remotely via cellpone! It isn't a violation. So they charged him with "disorderly conduct" and "obstruction of legal process," whatever that is. He vows to not take a plea and will take the case to trial! Never take a plea!!!

CORPUS CHRISTI — A former Corpus Christi police officer took a plea deal on Monday for jail time and probation for molesting a 15-year-old girl last year.

Julian Vasquez, 47, pleaded guilty to three counts of indecency with a child by sexual contact, a second-degree felony.
As part of the deal, Vasquez was sentenced to 90 days in jail and six years deferred adjudication probation.

Evan Emory had been charged with “manufacturing child pornography,” a charge that comes with a potential 20-year prison sentence, over an edited YouTube video. Too bad there were no naked children in the video. Per usual, he took a plea deal for a reduced charge. People need to fight these ridiculous charges!

Anne Arundel County prosecutors are filing charges Wednesday morning against a man who shot Bear-Bear, a Siberian husky, at a dog park in a Severn dog park about two weeks ago.

The misdemeanor charges against Keith Shepherd, 32, of Severn, a civilian police officer for the Army in Northern Virginia, are animal cruelty and discharging a firearm within 100 yards of an occupied home, according to a statement by prosecutors.
