WEST PALM BEACH— More than three years ago, images of two West Palm Beach police officers kicking and punching a handcuffed suspect flashed across television newscasts, embarrassing city leaders and angering prosecutors who later called the case a "serious misuse of public trust."

Two West Palm Beach Police officers were arrested early Thursday in Jupiter after they were caught allegedly breaking into cars inside a parking garage, authorities said.

On Memorial Day, early morning May 30, Miami and West Palm Beach, Florida police shot an unarmed man 100 times in his car. Following the shooting were dozens of arrests as officers worked to cover-up the incident by smashing cameras and cellular phones of by-standers.

The fact that police departments are cracking down on officers being videotaped, is not lost on the west coast, where the Oscar Grant killing is still fresh in people’s mind. The video of the deadly police shooting shook the nation and was a key piece of evidence in the trial of the officer who shot an unarmed black man.

(CBS/WFOR) MIAMI - North Miami Beach Police are piecing together an officer-involved shooting and killing of a mentally disabled man. The man was originally thought to be carrying a gun but it was later determined to be a toy rifle.

FTA: "In the video, Flint Farmer was lying on the grass between the curb and the sidewalk. It was shortly before 2 a.m. on a June morning in the West Englewood neighborhood, and Farmer had been shot by a Chicago police officer. Then, according to the video, the veteran officer, Gildardo Sierra, stepped onto the parkway and walked a semicircle about the prone Farmer as three bright flashes went off. The flashes, captured by a police car video camera, were fatal shots fired into Farmer's back, officials say.

An eyewitness to a fatal police shooting in Miami Beach last week claims police officers attempted to confiscate the video he filmed of the incident, and even crushed his phone underfoot in an attempt to destroy the recording.
"When he noticed me recording, one of the officers jumped in the truck, put a pistol to my head," he said. "My phone was smashed - he stepped on it, handcuffed me."

Seven days a week you can find hundreds of people doing yoga on Venice Beach. There's no sign-up and no charge. Now Sarasota County officials say some regulation may be needed, and that's not sitting well with many of the yoga enthusiasts. Both county officials and Larsen met Tuesday morning. Afterwards, the county told ABC 7 they support yoga on the beach, however Larsen may soon start having to pay them at $13.50 per hour, which in return will guarantee her the space there.
