If I were going to describe the perfect contraceptive, it would go something like this: no babies, no latex, no daily pill to remember, no hormones to interfere with mood or sex drive, no negative health effects whatsoever, and 100 percent effectiveness. The funny thing is, something like that currently exists.

A Charleston County mother and her 14-year-old daughter were spending some quality time together one Sunday evening when the conversation turned to sex.

She asked her daughter whether she was sexually active, and the Burke High School freshman surprised her with the news that she had sex once. After a few minutes of silence, the mother told her daughter that she wanted to call the family doctor and arrange for her to go on birth control.

A 65 year-old Wisconsin man who once testified before State Legislators that he received personal visions and messages from God is being prosecuted by the federal government and faces life in prison. Ralph W. Lang, who was arrested in 2011 for plotting to kill abortion doctors at Planned Parenthood, has been re-indicted by the Federal Government.

Bob Morris refused to sign a resolution honoring the Girl Scouts of America on their 100th anniversary because, as he e-mailed fellow lawmakers, the Scouts harbor radical policies that promote abortion and homosexuality and have become “a tactical arm of Planned Parenthood.” Morris said a small amount of research on the internet led him to draw these conclusions, despite denials by both organizations that they work in cahoots to destroy young womanhood.

US birth rate hits historic low

The result of a recent study just released by the US Centers for Disease Control suggests that the number of births coming out of the United States is at an all-time low.

The State Department's proposed new passport form asks for all addresses since birth; lifetime employment history including employers’ and supervisors names, addresses, and telephone numbers; personal details of all siblings; mother’s address one year prior to your birth; any “religious ceremony” around the time of birth; and a variety of other information.

Obama announces change in birth control coverage rule after outcry

President Obama on Friday backed off a plan requiring religious organizations to provide free contraceptive coverage, shifting the responsibility to insurers in a move he claimed would preserve religious liberty as well as "basic fairness" for women who want the coverage.
