The state refuses to clear Wheeler's name, for fear that the actual offender will continue to use Wheeler's name as an alias. Why not arrest everybody? What's to stop the sex offenders from using anyone's name?

Family members of a 32-year-old Alabama man who died in his jail cell last month a week after being arrested for possession of marijuana said they tried to warn officers about his fragile health, but were ignored.
Jacob Ashley Jordan was found dead in his cell at the Baldwin County Corrections Center at about 1 a.m. July 9, according to the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office, reports Connie Baggett at the Mobile Press-Register.

Joe Arpaio, the Arizona sheriff infamous due to his attention-grabbing immigration enforcement related stunts and the accusations his office discriminates against Latinos, allegedly misused millions in funds intended for jail operations, Maricopa County officials said Wednesday.

"Michael Green has spent the last 27 years in prison after being convicted on a rape charge. Green's conviction was overturned and a judge ordered that he be released from prison. That was supposed to happen on Thursday morning. For now, he's still in the Harris County Jail. After the family waited for the hearing to begin, they were told they'll have to wait another day. The reason was because Green was too emotional about being released.

Apparently facing mounting financial woes, Hancock County Sheriff Calvin K. "Bud" Gray siphoned more than $3,000 in public funds into his own accounts, according to authorities who arrested the sheriff Friday at a Shelby County casino.

Gray was being held without bail Friday night at the Hamilton County Jail in Noblesville on a felony charge of obstruction of justice, Hancock County Prosecutor Dean Dobbins said. Other charges, including theft and official misconduct, are likely, Dobbins added.

Petaluma Batman is a true caped crusader, as you can see in his photo, and he patrols the streets of his hometown. His motto, "a hero can be anyone." I can certainly get behind that.
