Morningland is owned by Joseph and Denise Dixon, who operate the cheese plant and make raw cheese from cows kept right on the property and managed by one of their eldest daughters. They have 12 children, 4 who still live at home, and they have been actively engaged in real food for decades.

With no warning one weekday morning, investigators entered an organic grocery with a search warrant and ordered the hemp-clad workers to put down their buckets of mashed coconut cream and to step away from the nuts.

Then, guns drawn, four officers fanned out across Rawesome Foods in Venice. Skirting past the arugula and peering under crates of zucchini, they found the raid's target inside a walk-in refrigerator: unmarked jugs of raw milk.

S.F. police raid Occupy camp, arrest 70

(12-07) 12:12 PST SAN FRANCISCO -- Police raided the Occupy SF camp early today, arresting 70 campers and protesters at Justin Herman Plaza and clearing out the 2-month-old encampment.

During a drug raid on a war veteran's home, a total of 12 police officers broke in at approximately 9PM while Matthew David Stewart (who works a night shift) was asleep. Noticing the commotion, he mistook the police for burglars and opened fire.

5 police officers were injured, and one was killed. Matthew David Stewart suffered non life threatening injuries and is currently in a hospital.

Matthew was believed to be in possession of a marijuana plant which he owned for personal use. The drug raid was because of that plant.

Upon appearing, for a scheduled preliminary hearing regarding charges brought against them by Los Angeles County, James Stewart and Sharon Palmer were ambushed by officials from Ventura County who engaged in "public theater". They slapped them in handcuffs, marched them out of court, and then proceeded to lose them in Ventura County jail where they disappeared for five days. These two prisoners were "lost in the system" and could not be located by anyone, anywhere. County officials had managed to hide them away and not even law enforcement officials could find them.

The purpose of this statement is to make clear the facts of my unlawful arrest by the Moscow police on August 17, 2012, outside the courthouse where the trial of the band Pussy Riot was taking place.
