Apparently living off the grid, off the land and without government assistance is now a crime that can land you in jail and cause you to lose your home.

Counties across the country are actually jailing people for living the way they want to live.

Oakland parking officers were ordered to avoid enforcing neighborhood parking violations in two of the city's wealthier neighborhoods but told to continue enforcing the same violations in the rest of the city, according to a city memo obtained by The Chronicle.

Employers can only run a person through the everify once the person has been hired, and if that person then 'fails', no one is there to repay the employer for money lost (i.e. matching stolen social security money.) We can sue police for NOT enforcing one law, why not any other law? Also, why do they not want to be sued for enforcing the law as well.

But when police in Florida saw one man doing it, he got slapped with a $115 speeding ticket.

His case was overturned, but in some states, it is illegal to warn other drivers there is a speed trap ahead. Arizona and Alaska forbid flashing of high beams, while the states of New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Virginia allow it.
