Indeed, the libertarian crowd has been increasingly vocal at Obama-era CPACs—Ron Paul has routinely won the annual straw poll—but this year, the Rand Paul Brigades look something like an occupying force. Everywhere one turns, there are “Stand With Rand” signs, stickers, and T-shirts (a volunteer told me he had handed out a thousand shirts in just over two hours). In the rush to see the Kentucky senator’s speech, one Paul supporter thrust a “Stand With Rand” placard into a young conservative’s hands.

On his way to speak at the national Right To Life March in DC Rand Paul has been detained by TSA. This is all I have so far from Rand Paul's Facebook page. "Senator Paul is being detained at Nashville Airport by the TSA. We will update you as the situation develops."

Senator Rand Paul Attempts to Have Independent Journalist Arrested and Stripped of Press Pass. According to an interview conducted by WeAreChange.org’s Luke Rudkowski and journalist Abby Martin of MediaRoots.org, the Senator of Kentucky, Rand Paul got overly angered a month ago after the two journalists questioned him on the endorsement of Goldman Sachs candidate, Mitt Romney.

A security video released by the Transportation Security Administration of Senator Rand Paul at a TSA airport checkpoint in Nashville appears to contradict an initial report to police that described the Kentucky Republican as being ''irate.''

National political icon and conservative leader Sarah Palin has endorsed Dr. Rand Paul in his bid for United States Senate from Kentucky. The Paul campaign has received a generous donation from Governor Palin’s PAC. (Not sure what to think about this.)

Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul’s press secretary Moira Bagley tweeted on Monday that Transportation Security Administration officials were detaining her boss in Nashville, Tenn.

“Just got a call from @senrandpaul,” Bagley tweeted at about 10 a.m. on Monday. “He’s currently being detained by TSA in Nashville.”

Over the years Ron Paul has been the one Republican in Congress who more often then not has spoken libertarian common sense on a whole range of issues, from the war on drugs to deficit spending. In the last week Ron Paul has been speaking libertarian common sense on the issue of the 9/11 mosque.
