Phoenix Jones aka Benjamin Fodor aka mixed-martial arts fighter "Flatttop" arrested early Sunday for assault. The City Attorney's Office is reviewing the case. Police say Fodor, 23, used pepper spray on a group of men and women early Sunday near the Alaskan Way Viaduct. The incident was caught on video. A spokesman for Phoenix Jones, said it appears the officer who arrested Jones had an agenda, and that when Jones said he was assaulted the officer laughed at him. He also said police have refused to take statements two people who were following Jones.

Anonymous Fights Pepper Spray With Personal Information

John Pike's pepper spraying of UC Davis protestors, the international hacking group Anonymous has put out this video urging people to flood his home phone, cell, email, office, and mail box with messages condemning his actions. What do you think? Is this a fair response to an officer's use of pepper spray?

The real-life superhero named Phoenix Jones was cuffed and taken in to the police station for pepper spraying civilians. He claims he was trying to break-up a street brawl; and wonders why the police didn't seem interested in investigating an alleged hit-and-run that occurred mere feet away.

"She did nothing to warrant him putting a gun -- a pepper-spray Taser gun -- to her forehead and pulling the trigger, causing her right eye to explode and causing severe nerve damage in her left eye to the extent that she's not been declared totally blind," Grimes said. Clark allegedly fired the spray from 12 inches away using a JPX device, which shoots spray at speeds of 400 miles per hour and is supposed to be used at a minimum distance of five feet. Clark's attorney Kasey Castillo released a statement to KTLA saying her client quote: "is remorseful but innocent."

Preferable to the police? Real life superheros are stepping up to meet a perceived demand: an actual sense of protection, and actual heroism. Both are kinda lacking lately.

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. -- Police said they used a stun gun to break up a fight on board a school bus in Dauphin County. State police said it's unusual to have a group of students who are not listening to anyone, and where troopers think the only safe way to get them to listen is with a stun gun.
