As [Westword] reported earlier this month, the shooting of Chloe, the beloved dog of Gary Branson, has caused quite a stir. The incident was caught on video, and footage showing an officer firing shots at the dog five times has led to an outpouring of support on a petition page and a Justice for Chloe Facebook page. And now the Adams County District Attorney's office has announced that Robert Price, the officer, is facing a felony charge of animal cruelty.

Detroit Police needed to remove the dogs, so they called the Michigan Anti-Cruelty Society. While the rescuers were setting traps for the three pit bulls, one got loose and started running towards a police officer. That's when, we're told, she pulled her gun and fired off twelve rounds.

"The police pulled a gun out and shot, but she missed the dog. I guess she was scared or something, and she hit the animal control person," he said.

Pam Guenther was enjoying a Saturday morning ride on the back of her husband's motorcycle in Ocala, Fla., when a cop driving in the other direction abruptly turned around and pulled them to the side of the road.

"I knew we weren't speeding," Guenther told Asylum. "So my first question was why is he pulling us over? [The officer] just pointed to my husband and said, 'He's wearing a mask, and it's illegal to cover your face when riding a motorcycle.'"

According to NBC news, some States are declaring the filming of cruelty towards animals a crime or even terrorism.

I stopped my car and got out and all the farm animals, goats, chickens, ducks, miniature horses called to me. It was 103 degrees on a sweltering summer day and I could see from the road that all of the water troughs were tipped over and empty. I was arrested for trespassing and made headlines in the North County Times and Valley Roadrunner.

Barrington police say the teens were alarmed and disturbed by the offer and took down the man’s license plate. But as CBS 2′s Mai Martinez reports, the man says he was only trying to help the girls, not harm them.

“This is a good deed gone wrong,” Rodney Peterson says.

During a March 2 snowstorm, he saw two teen girls leave a Shell station while he was pumping gas.
