I’ve always found government mandated public holidays creepy, because it’s the government telling people on certain days that they shouldn’t be doing certain things & we all know that the government already intrudes into our personal liberty far more then is healthy for individual liberty & if you think otherwise then you’re a fucking moron.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is set to begin construction on a new high-risk bio-weapons research facility on the campus of Kansas State University in Manhattan Kansas.
The new facility will feature research on biolevel 3 and 4 viruses - some without any known cures - and other potentially dangerous materials.
The problem, critics say, is the location and the inherent seismic and weather-related disasters that could befall the facility, wreaking havoc on the surrounding population and beyond.

My take on the discussion about compulsory participation in clinical trials for vaccines. What a terrible idea!

Vaccines in the state of Massachusetts may soon be tracked via a centralized registry, The Boston Globe reports ... [i]ronically, Massachusetts, the birthplace of public vaccination programs, is one of two states without statewide registries to track who gets vaccinated, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. New Hampshire is the other state without such a registry.

Swedish researchers have discovered that oseltamivir (Tamiflu); an antiviral drug used to prevent and mitigate influenza infections is not removed or degraded during normal sewage treatment. Consequently, in countries where Tamiflu is used at a high frequency, there is a risk that its concentration in natural waters can reach levels where influenza viruses in nature will develop resistance to it.
