There’s a long and sordid history of governments using psychiatry for political repression. The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual defines “oppositional defiant disorder” (ODD) as “an ongoing pattern of disobedient, hostile and defiant behavior toward authority figures.” ODD can evolve into “conduct disorder” (CD), which DSM defines as “wherein the rights of others or social norms are violated.”

Uh-oh. So violating “social norms” is now a mental illness as well.

How much do we trust the government to label foods today? Think about "pastured," "cage free," "whole grains," and "organic" labels. With such an inefficient, overstuffed bureaucratic fumbling with the current labeling of food, why would we want this same institution regulating GMO labels? Now, when a smaller independent company labels their food as containing no GMOs, we can trust that label. Get the government involved and this labeling system will lose meaning.

Although a food may contain 0.5g of trans fats, companies are allowed to put on their labels that there are 0g trans fats. This can be dangerous if you eat multiple servings of these foods with 0.5g of trans fats, while thinking you are eating 0g trans fats.

The major record labels are known for their harsh stance on copyright infringements, which in an ironic turn of events is now costing them millions of dollars. Revealing a double standard when it comes to ‘piracy’, Warner Music, Sony BMG Music, EMI Music and Universal Music now have to pay Canadian artists $45 Million for the illegal use of thousands of tracks on compilation CDs.

A ridiculous story regarding the American Pediatrics Acadmeny and their push for more mandates on food packaging. Due to the fact that approximately 100 kids per year, die as a result of choking, The APA is pushing for manufacturers to be required to post choking hazard warnings on their food labels. The story goes on to instruct parents to cut their children's foods up into "pea sized bites" to ensure their safety while eating things such as grapes and apples. I say we just throw it all in a blender and feed them hot dog puree from a straw.
