The UK Government is considering ABOLISHING the census after next year's. They'll still get the info from existing databases (and we have a loooot of those), but there will be no central method for government to force large amounts of information out of people by intimidation.

If you want the government people to leave you alone you have to stop obeying them. This is a tough thing to do, and it's silly to just jump in the deep end of noncooperation, so saying NO to the census people is a good starter disobedience. Have your video camera or audio recorder handy, and don't be rude or mean. These people are mostly just folks looking for some work; they aren't the government's aggressors. They probably don't realize the money for their checks comes from coercion and fraud.

A U.S. Census worker has been charged with rape and burglary, after two women in southern Indiana claim they were attacked. One of the victims was a 21 year-old physically handicapped woman. Four days before the attack, neighbors in the area say they saw Miller in the area on census business. The victim told police Miller had asked about their census information. 51-year-old census worker Bill Sparkman was found this month with the word "fed" scrawled on his chest, hanged from a tree near a cemetery in Daniel Boone National Forest. The FBI is investigating whether he was a victim of anti-government sentiment, and the Census Bureau has suspended door-to-door interviews in rural Clay County, where the body was found.
