As part of a drug raid, the police broke into the wrong apartment. A single old man living in the apartment was immediately assaulted by 7 police officers as they proceeded to punch him, stomp his face then complain about his blood getting on their clothes.

They also felt a need to completely trash the apartment, then cover up the whole thing by denying ever going to the apartment.

A Massachusetts woman says the FBI used a chain saw blade to cut through her door and held her at gunpoint for at least 30 minutes before agents realized they were conducting a raid at the wrong home. She says she was held face-down on the floor at gunpoint while her 3-year-old daughter Ji’anni cried in another room. It turns out agents were after the other tenant on the floor of the multi-unit building who was suspected of dealing drugs. The raid was called Operation Red Wolf, a two-year investigation into drugs and weapons, WHDH.com reported.

The FBI may have had the wrong address when they recently raided an apartment in Michigan, investigating a World of Warcraft gold-selling claim. No arrests have been made following the March 30 raid.

The Bureau visited the Ann Arbor apartment in University Towers trying to find any information about “fraudulent sales or puchases of virtual currency” in the popular online game. Law enforcement officers walked drug-sniffing dogs through a Pulaski apartment complex early Monday morning -- a practice occasionally used to search for evidence of illegal drug activity, the town's police chief said.

In what Roche called a coordinated multi-agency narcotics interdiction assignment, the officers walked through Meadowview's 10 three-story buildings with their dogs at about 2 a.m.

If the dogs alerted on an apartment, Roche said, officers could knock on the door or request a search warrant.

Illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia were seized, Roche said.
