The Phoenix City Prosecutor’s office made a bold statement in its Motion to Dismiss 20 cases against Occupy Phoenix protesters yesterday, citing Paul Revere, the Tea Party and the constitutional right to protest. Members of The Phoenix 20 were individually represented pro bono by a troop of 17 volunteer defense attorneys. Originally 45 defendants faced charges, but 25 pled guilty to lesser charges. The cases were grouped together and involved trespassing and loitering allegations.

S.F. police raid Occupy camp, arrest 70

(12-07) 12:12 PST SAN FRANCISCO -- Police raided the Occupy SF camp early today, arresting 70 campers and protesters at Justin Herman Plaza and clearing out the 2-month-old encampment.

A St. Petersburg, FL police officer was speeding 21 MPH over the limit, hit an old man in a wheelchair. He killed the man and was fired. Now, if anyone else did that, they'd be put in a cage. After a year off the job, he was given his job back WITH the year of back pay while he off! What a bunch of crap!

POLICE who broke a man's leg after he taunted them about not being able to park a car could end up costing taxpayers $200,000 in compensation.

The leg of Martin Francis, 46, was badly broken in two places, he lost his job and was out of work for eight months after he was wrongfully arrested in August last year and jammed into a police vehicle outside a Mount Isa nightclub.

Mr Francis yesterday said his leg was "nearly snapped in half" in the tussle with three police, the Courier-Mail reported.
