In unschooling the child is in control of his/her learning. They are free to decide what they want to study, when they want to study it.

To be homeschooled and/or unschooled is the way to promote freedom, sound knowledge, and a love of learning throughout life. Government police state schooling is the way to prepare unimaginative worker drones to dislike learning and to accept an authoritarian world that is unbeatable.

The reason why I think highlighting this article is important is that Mark and Ian tend to discredit the fact that the media is controlled. What I think they fail to acknowledge is that you don't need to control every person in every media organization, you only need to have at least 1 person in each organization who will parrot your propaganda to control a large swath of the population's current event and historical knowledge. This article is a great example of this. This form of media control must be taken seriously.

Recently, we have seen many news reports of lemonade stands being shut down by police and other government workers. When kids sell things, such as lemonade, they are learning some very important lessons. They are learning about money and about being an entrepreneur. They are also learning how to be a productive member of society. They are learning about responsibility. They are participating in free and voluntary trade with willing participants. Selling lemonade is not a crime.

Editorial: With the help and encouragement of their teachers and legislators, New Hampshire's school children are learning bad lessons about their government.

It's time people begin treating computer code the way we do the alphabet or arithmetic. Code is the stuff that makes computer programs work -- the list of commands that tells a word processor, a website, a video game, or an airplane navigation system what to do. That's all software is: lines of code, written by people. We are socializing, working, consuming, and living in a world increasingly defined by programs. Learning to code is the best way to understand what all those programs do, or even to recognize that they are there in the first place.

Michigan drivers could become the first in the nation subject to roadside drug testing under a bill introduced Wednesday in the Legislature.

The legislation would authorize police to administer a roadside saliva test for illegal drug use, just as they do breath tests for alcohol, when they stop a driver suspected of being intoxicated.

The test kit under consideration for Michigan can detect drug use in six categories, including marijuana, cocaine and methamphetamine.
