An armored personnel carrier used by U.S. troops to fight insurgents on the battlefield is making its way to the University of California thanks to a $200,000 dollar grant from the Department of Homeland Security...

The students then mock the military tank assault of the party chanting U-S-A, U-S-A.

According to an Albany City Council member, the Albany Police Department has decided to back out of an agreement with Berkeley Police Department and UCPD to purchase an armored vehicle through a federal grant.

The $170,000 federal grant to purchase a Lenco BearCat will come from the Urban Areas Security Initiative, a Department of Homeland Security nonprofit organization that is intended to financially support agencies that are at high risk of a terrorist attack with “security enhancements.”...

"We're going to have our own tank." That's what Keene, N.H., Mayor Kendall Lane whispered to Councilman Mitch Greenwood during a December city council meeting.
It's not quite a tank. But the quaint town of 23,000 -- scene of just two murders since 1999 -- had just accepted a $285,933 grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to purchase a Bearcat, an eight-ton armored personnel vehicle made by Lenco Industries Inc.
But those plans are on hold for now, thanks to a backlash from feisty residents.

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office was recently bragging about the $300,000 drone that they bought with help from the Department of Homeland Security. They tried to do a fancy photo op featuring the drone and their Bearcat, and crashed one into the other. It's a paramilitary police state on parade.

Pics from Monday of GESTAPO driving what appeared to be a shiny new bearcat from the capitol city to their respective Ct hamlet... There was a lead unmarked cop SUV that I frequently see harassing the truckers back and fourth from Norwich to Hartford(me thinks he is a statey.

Police State supporters will be getting off to this one...sick! Since when did our towns become the front lines?
