The coup began when convention delegates voted "None Of The Above" over entrenched officers seeking re-election as LP Chair. When the position was opened to nominations from the floor and after multiple rounds of rancorous voting, emerging victorious were Lee Wrights for Vice Chair and Geoff Neale for Chair (endorsed by Wrights and Mary Ruwart). The rout continued for other LNC positions, with several longtime conservative operatives thrown out. Among the fresh slate of principled libertarians elected is Starchild, the superactivist from San Francisco. Only Wayne Root remains, hanging on in 5th place out of the 5 at-large slots.
