Lincoln and Cecilia Rogers say their dreams came true when baby Lilia was born healthy just a week ago. But they describe a nightmare in getting her home from Summerlin Hospital.

"They said, ‘Well, if you leave the hospital I'll have to arrest you and your husband.'"

The couple says it got a second opinion and spoke with a pediatrician at Summerlin Hospital, who agreed that it would be okay if the couple took the baby home with minor jaundice as long as they signed a medical release form.

The series of events started after a patient at the hospital left without permission in mid December. Police were called to help locate the patient and several days later, a man with the same description of the escapee was brought back to Graylands by police where he was wrongly identified by hospital staff as the runaway patient. The man was subsequently given a batch of antipsychotic drugs but it caused an adverse reaction and he was treated overnight in hospital. The “real” missing patient eventually returned to Graylands.

A nurse at the hospital that was duped by a prank call from two Australian radio DJs concerning Prince William's pregnant wife, Catherine, has apparently committed suicide, the hospital confirmed Friday. The nurse "was recently the victim of a hoax call," King Edward VII Hospital said in a media statement. Joshua Messier had a good life that was turned upside down by the onset of schizophrenia, then ended at the age of 23 at the hands of correction officers at Bridgewater State Hospital. The hospital is run by the state prison system, and is home to the most violent mentally ill people in Massachusetts.

Officers while restraining Josh, suffocated him literally to his death. His death certificate says cause of death, is "cardiopulmonary arrest during physical restraint". The manner of death is ruled a homicide. The officers involved have been cleared of any wrongdoing.

The city of Pulaski has called in an outside law firm to investigate the arrest of a black doctor by a Pulaski police officer.

Police clocked Dr. Terry Wynn's car going 46 in a 30-mile-per-hour zone last Wednesday night. Wynn is an OB/GYN who was on the way to the hospital to deliver a baby.

She pulled over, and told Pulaski officer Chad Estes she needed to get to the hospital.

Police said she then left the scene and drove less than a mile to the hospital. Officer Estes followed Wynn and arrested her in the hospital parking lot.
