It would seem absurd to think that the corporate free press in America is actually helping Ron Paul in his bid to become the Republican nominee doesn’t it? Well, not really. In fact, the news pundits and political analysts have actually done more harm than good to their latest “presumptive” nominee, “Willard (Mitt) Romney” than they have to the other last man standing in the Republican race, Ron Paul.

...it appears that some of the constitutionalist wing of the Republican Party (Ron Paul supporters, mostly) — including some Tea Party activists — felt unrepresented at the previous Maine Republican Party Convention and planned to make themselves a known quantity at the Convention this weekend.

The Libertarian Party nominated former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson for President of the United States.

The dark horse issue for the 2012 election cycle is Ron Paul’s influence over the delegate count for the Republican Party. Most people do not realize that the Republican primary races do not determine the nominee in the various states. Delegates are chosen after the popular election in a separate vote at a state convention by party insiders. This process is rarely reported in the main stream media.

TAMPA, April 12, 2012 — While the media continue to ignore compelling evidence that the Republican primary race is much closer than they are reporting, some Ron Paul supporters are nevertheless thinking about what they might do if Paul does not get the Republican nomination.

Throughout this election cycle, Gary Johnson’s name has been omnipresent as a libertarian alternative. There’s only one problem. Gary Johnson is not a libertarian.

Why is the GOP Establishment so scared of a Ron Paul nomination? Romney has it in the bag, Dr. Paul doesn't have a hope in hell. The conventional wisdom is they want to present the party 100% behind Romney. Gee, would acknowledging there was some competition for the job be that damaging? By sabotaging the Paul campaign throughout the process they exposed themselves as corrupt. If they played by the GOP rules with Ron Paul, there would be a minor contest, Romney would still have won, and most of the the Republican rank and file would fall in behind Romney.

On August 24-26th, the weekend before the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida, supporters of Ron Paul have organized the P.A.U.L. Festival (People Awakening and Uniting for Liberty) to celebrate and honor Paul's campaign, legacy, and libertarian message.

The event will feature speeches from many heavyweights in the libertarian movement, like Thomas Woods, Lew Rockwell, Scott Horton, Walter Block, Adam Kokesh, Peter Schiff, Gary Johnson, and many more. There will also be beer and entertainment, including music from libertarian bands and those who support Paul's message.

A Gallup Poll released on August 24 in which Republican and Republican-leaning Independents nationwide were asked to choose which candidate they supported for the 2012 GOP Presidential nomination showed Rick Perry in the lead with 29% of the votes, followed by Mitt Romney with 17%, Ron Paul with 13%, and Michele Bachmann with 10%. No other candidate managed to poll more than 4%.
