Austin Police Department pulled over a Peaceful Streets Project team that was observing police activity. The thug cop who forced Antonio Buehler out of the vehicle and detained him against his will was named Brown.

Antonio Buehler arrested for filming police in downtown Austin,TX. Antonio Buehler was booked into the Travis County Jail Sunday morning for interfering with police. Now, APD is speaking out about the incident and is considering a policy change because of it.

I understand that there re many complaints about how the police react to people using cameras to record their actions, but you need to understand what goes through distorted mind.
To you and any other normal person, you are simply being peaceful and recording them using a non threatening camera.
To the police officer, they see an object containing glass, circuits, plastic, aluminum, steel, and death. And thus they get scared and conferscate your cameras and put you in a cage.

For the fifth time in less than two months, Austin police arrested a man while video recording them in public. This time it was Joshua Pineda, 26, a member of the Peaceful Streets Project, the organization that focuses on video recording police as they interact with the public. But this time, they did not confiscate his phone, which most likely was a result of Pineda exercising his right to remain silent while incarcerated.

There's been some confusion on the show as to what the Venus project is. This video gives a good description of it. The Venus project is not a proposal for a political system of government, but a socioeconomic system. The Venus project, similar to the Free State project, is completely voluntary and its primary object, beyond developing its ideas, is spreading its message to persuade people to join it.

Police departments in the state's two largest cities are considering using video cameras in cruisers, while state police are installing more of the devices to record motor vehicle stops.

With a quota driven system that forces cops to meet summonses and arrest numbers, I fear that unarmed motorist will be shot by inexperienced rookie cops that are trained to shoot first and ask questions later. These constant interactions between people and police are a recipe for disaster and will cause far more harm than good as nervous cops with guns converge on cars that approach this intersection after dark.
