Last week, one of the 14,000 defendants in the US Copyright Group's anti-P2P litigation campaign filed a document with the DC District Court, hoping to quash the subpoena that would reveal his name and address. The letter was sent anonymously, identifying itself only with an IP address. The case concerned a small film called The Steam Experiment, but the anonymous Doe insisted to the court that "he has never used a file-sharing service and does not know what this case is about."

Fans at concerts and sports games may soon be stopped from using their iPhones to film the action —as a result of new technology being considered by Apple, The Times of London reported Thursday.

LONDON – The poster campaign advertising the DVD release of FINAL DESTINATION 5 has been banned by the Advertising Standards Authority. A version of the campaign that ran earlier this year ahead of the film's theatrical release received 13 complaints that the poster was distressing to children.

The law, passed last year as AB 962, would have banned mail order ammunition sales and required all purchases of so called “handgun ammunition” to be registered. In an unwritten ruling from the bench, Judge Jeffrey Hamilton found the law unconstitutionally vague on its face and issued an injunction against its enforcement. For now, at least, mail order ammunition sales to California residents can continue, and ammunition sales need not be registered under the law.

After months of planning we are glad to announce we will be holding the Bitcoin Conference in London. The first conference was held by Mitchell Bourne in association with us. He set an amazing standard, showed us the ropes and bestowed us with considerable experience. This year he will be taking a diminished role as we take over the chariot. We hope to live up to the high standard he set last year.

Order in the Court 2.0 is a project designed to "open up" the courts and make them more "transparent" so as to enhance "democracy" or some silly notion like that. A Nation Socialist Radio executive is behind the plan, naturally. This seems like something the Free State Project people should be aware of. It looks like fertile ground and it's just over the border in Taxachusetts.

Cameras in the courtroom would benefit court and public
Public demand for cameras in the court is well established. We have conducted a series of public opinion studies on the issue over the past few years and most recently found that 93 percent of likely voters say “the workings of the Supreme Court should be more open and transparent.” This sentiment spans Democrats, Republicans, and Independents alike. In addition, 58 percent of voters say there is “too little” news coverage of the Supreme Court.
