A Los Angeles police officer today fatally shot a man allegedly armed with a knife in downtown Los Angeles.

The shooting occurred about 12:20 p.m. at Fifth and Spring streets, said Los Angeles police Officer Lyle Knight of the Media Relations office. The man, who was not immediately identified, died at a hospital, according to
police.

Police say they were in the process of arresting Jordan M. McLean on a warrant when they decided to search his pockets. According to an arrest report, they found a single donut wrapped in a tissue in one of his pockets. Police say McLean told them he had just bought the donut while in Thorntons, but the officer spoke with the store clerk who allegedly told police, "she had not sold any pastries." The donut was "not recoverable" according to police. McLean was arrested for misdemeanor theft.

A Philadelphia mom is peeved that police gave her a $50 ticket after her 2-year-old son peed against a street light post. Robboy said two of her children told her they needed to go to the bathroom, but the store operators wouldn’t let them use their restroom. They headed back to the diner, but the 2-year-old couldn’t hold it. “I told him to go over to a grassy patch and make pee,” Robboy told NBCPhiladelphia.com.

New 10 Sacramento Ca just reported on a shooting that happened June 8, 2011. News 10 reported the knife was found in the bed of the vehicle. Around 7 Min and 30 sec into the video you clearly see the officer put a knife into the bed of the truck. The pig recieved the knife from a fellow pig and used it to cut off the victims shirt.

A man was fatally shot by police in downtown Seattle on Monday afternoon, according to police.

The shooting occurred on the northwest corner of Boren Ave. and E. Howell St. at approximately 4:15 p.m.

Police said an officer was on patrol when he spotted a man sitting on the sidewalk, whittling, and approached him.

The officer told the man to drop the knife several times, police said, but instead of doing so, he stood up. When the man refused to heed to his commands, the officer opened fire and hit the man.
