Police Union Director Jokes on Facebook About Two Women Being Sexually Assaulted by a Police Officer
A Texas state trooper charged with sexually assaulting two women during a traffic stop was providing them with "customer service," says Dale Roberts, the executive director of the Columbia Police Officers Association (CPOA) and a professor at the University of Missouri. (The CPOA is a part of the Fraternal Order of Police, one of the country's largest police unions.)
A University of Wisconsin professor has been threatened with criminal charges after placing a series of posters on his office door. The first poster featured a picture of and quote from the character Mal Reynolds from the television series "Firefly" that, according to the university police chief, could be interpreted as "a threat." After the first poster was removed by said police chief, the professor, James Miller, put up a second poster featuring a cop clad in riot gear with this caption, "Warning: Fascism. Fascism can cause blunt head trauma and/or violent death.

Los Angeles (CNN) -- A police officer in Los Angeles who claimed he was shot while patrolling near a high school has now been arrested for making up the story, authorities said.
Officer Jeff Stenroos of the Los Angeles Unified School District Police Department had said he was shot in the chest on January 19 in the west San Fernando Valley. He said the shooting happened when he got out of his squad car to check on a man peering into parked vehicles near the El Camino High School.
