A 7-year-old Connecticut girl will lose her 20-pound pet rabbit if North Haven officials get their way.

Police say on May 4, the girl began to exhibit behavior consistent with a person under the influence of narcotics at her elementary school. The girl said she could hear “banging in her head,” and was talking to people who were not there. The girl’s school counselor called her mother, Torina Gutierrez, and reported the incident to her, the arrest affidavit states.
