A seven-year-old girl has been told by town authorities in Connecticut that she can keep her 20lb rabbit...The 50-year-old ordinance that prevents residents from keeping rabbits and livestock on property of less than two acres was labelled 'ridiculous' by First Selectman Michael Freda...Since the story first appeared on Wednesday on WTNH-TV, 4,400 people have signed an online petition demanding that the town allow Kayden to keep the three-year-old Flemish giant rabbit she calls Sandy. First Selectman Michael Freda told Fox News: 'All along I've said that little girl is not losing that rabbit. We have a ridiculous ordinance... and we're going to change it.'
