During a press conference on gun safety in Philadelphia, Vice President Joe Biden said that any reports that suggest that he was trying to take weapons away from gun owners was a “bunch of malarkey.”

Biden said that it was important for the media to dissuade the American public from the idea that the Obama administration was prepared to do something unconstitutional on guns.

A Freedom of Information Act request for correspondence between Ryan's office and the Environmental Protection Agency, filed by The Huffington Post, unearthed two additional instances in which the Wisconsin Republican petitioned for American Recovery Act funds.

This type of thing is happening so frequently I wonder if/worry that they'll stop getting coverage at all. That certainly seems to be the case in the mainstream media, where coverage of this incident was sparse.

Many Ron Paul supporters are well aware of the mainstream media’s anti-Ron Paul bias and blatant coverage blackouts. The lack of coverage can now provide that same mainstream media with an excuse to report on the failure of Ron Paul’s campaign. Talk about a self-fulfilling prophecy.

You’d never know from the media coverage that:

* The Bush team tried to conditionally approve the Solyndra loan just before President Obama took office.

* The company’s backers included private investors who had diverse political interests.

* The loan comprises just 1.3% of DOE’s overall loan portfolio. To date, Solyndra is the only loan that’s known to be troubled.
