"RNC is attempting to change the 5 state rule and de-credential the entire Maine delegation only 4 days before the Republican National Convention." After watching the fraud, coercion, and duplicity on the part of the GOP establishment this year, I have to wonder "why don't they just throw out their rule book and make Romney the candidate by decree?"

Five members of the Romney Clan have endorsed Ron Paul, and three will be speaking in favor of Paul in the Idaho caucus. Clearly those who know Mittens best support Paul.

A Gallup Poll released on August 24 in which Republican and Republican-leaning Independents nationwide were asked to choose which candidate they supported for the 2012 GOP Presidential nomination showed Rick Perry in the lead with 29% of the votes, followed by Mitt Romney with 17%, Ron Paul with 13%, and Michele Bachmann with 10%. No other candidate managed to poll more than 4%.

If Ron Paul doesn't win the nomination as a Repube, he may well win the Presidency anyway. If the GOP machine participates in dirty politicking and screws Ron Paul over (like has been already going on), Dr. Paul will bail and run 3rd Party or independent. He'll pull support from all the Ron Paul supporters, disaffected Demoncrats, and those who have given up on voting because they've figured out it's a scam, until now.

To make matters worse for the Romney team, Congressman Paul continues to gain on Romney by racking up delegates in state after state.

"My first choice had always been my father. I campaigned for him when I was 11-years-old. He's still my first pick, but now that the nominating process is over, tonight I'm happy to announce that I'm going to be supporting Gov. Mitt Romney," Rand Paul said on Fox News.

How's that for a stab in the back....
