More Los Angeles police officers who have used excessive force, driven while intoxicated, falsely imprisoned people or committed other serious misconduct are being let off without punishment, by a new approach to discipline at the LAPD. Called "Conditional Official Reprimand", instead of handing down suspensions without pay, as was the norm for such offenses, police officials are putting officers on notice that another gaffe of the same sort will bring a severe penalty and possible termination.

The LAPD is currently conducting the largest organized manhunt in LA history. The search now spans four States, California, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico. The suspect is former LAPD officer and ex-US Navy reservist, Christopher Dorner who has declared “unconventional and asymmetrical warfare” on the LAPD, their families, and any associated agencies who assist the officers he refers to as “enemy combatants.”

In all this insanity I can’t help but feel like I’m reading about a live action reenactment of an episode in the life of Frank Castle, the sociopathic antihero known as The Punisher.

A young man was brutally pinned down and beaten by Los Angeles police for skateboarding on the wrong side of the road, leaving him with a broken nose, a broken cheekbone and a concussion.

Los Angeles police said Friday that they have arrested numerous people for chalking downtown in the weeks leading up to ArtWalk. Los Angeles Police has been arresting people who have marked downtown with chalk. The chalkers have been targeting the area around the Central City Assn, as the "lobby group of the 1%," according to a handout distributed at ArtWalk.

One of the officers reportedly broke his hand while inflicting blows on Mr Leone’s head. The victim also claims he was kicked and Tased repeatedly. The brutality allegedly continues after Mr Leone is pulled off-camera, with audible screams being heard as one of the troopers claims Mr Leone spit on him. 'F***ing pull over means be pulled the f*** over. You’re going to be somebody’s f***ing butt f*** inside.'

A former LAPD officer was suspected early Thursday morning of shooting another officer to death overnight and wounding two others even as authorities hunted for him in connection with an earlier double-homicide, CBS News correspondent Bill Whitaker reports. According to documents from a court of appeals hearing in October 2011, Dorner was fired from the LAPD after he made a complaint against his field training officer, Sgt. Teresa Evans. Dorner said that in the course of an arrest, Evans kicked suspect Christopher Gettler, a schizophrenic with severe dementia.

A Boston man filed a federal lawsuit against the city and four police officers today alleging he was beaten after he used his cellphone to record their actions as they arrested his friend.

A Homewood Honor Student who was beaten by three white police officers is U.S. Attorney's General's office and the FBI to bring Federal Civic Rights charges against the three officers. He is seeking to have the officers removed from the Pittsburgh Police Force. The officers beat the seventeen year old, but found no weapon, lied in their report, used excessive force and sent the teen to West Penn Hospital. Officers threatened to stage a "Blue Flu" when the teen showed up for court. He resisted the officers lawful ass kicking.

A clever two-bit Guy Fawkes attached a parking boot to the wheel of an LAPD squad car yesterday. Firefighters eventually removed the parking restraint in between bouts of uncontrollable laughter.
