Federal Taxes add $64 to a $300 airline ticket, a tax of 21%. These taxes and fees include:the federal ticket tax, flight segment fees, airport passenger facility charges (PFCs) and a federal security surcharge. The airlines claim the total of these charges amount to virtually punitive treatment of the industry. This guy thinks they should shut up, and stop complaining.

This new bill would require all co-pilots (first officers) to obtain Airline Transport Licenses in order to fly for an airline. An ATP requires 1,500 hours of flight time, which is a very costly and time consuming accomplishment if you aren't flying commercially. This bill will make it even harder for up-and-coming young pilots to get into the airline industry.

WESLACO — A 15-year-old teen faced attempted murder charges Monday after a Ouija board allegedly told him to stab the root of his problems, a 14-year-old friend.

A Denver woman claims she couldn’t board a flight from Wyoming to Denver because of her gender. She said she checked in and arrived at security about 35 minutes before the scheduled departure of her United flight. “They asked if I was on the flight to Denver, I said yes, they said that they couldn`t screen me because they sent all the female TSA agents home,” Winning said. A female agent was necessary because of the new security pat-downs. Winning missed her flight and wound up renting a car for $165 and driving the roughly 350 miles back to Denver.

Joao Correa was on a Delta Airlines flight from Honduras to Atlanta last week when something bad happened down below, and he had to immediately use the bathroom. Unfortunately, there was a drink cart blocking his way and the flight attendants wouldn't let him by. When the plane landed, Correa was arrested and spent two days in jail.

"A 65-year-old woman made it past a checkpoint and onto a flight at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport on Wednesday with a revolver tucked away in her handbag, and was only stopped after the plane was called back to the gate, the airport said."

JetBlue captain's erratic behavior forces emergency landing, passengers say

AMARILLO, Texas – A JetBlue plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Amarillo, Texas, on Tuesday after the captain "exhibited erratic behavior," according to a TSA statement.
JetBlue Flight 191, which was headed from New York’s Kennedy Airport to Las Vegas, was forced to make the landing after the pilot reportedly ran up and down the aisles screaming “Say your prayers” after he was locked outside the cockpit, The New York Post reported, citing a passenger.
