A guy in NYC filmed himself getting a $50 ticket for not riding his bike in the bike lane. The cop doesn't even get out of the car in the rain, dodges all his questions, and refuses to acknowledge that SOMETIMES, in the ridiculously busy streets of NYC, the bike lane is not necessarily the safest place to be riding your bicycle. The video humorously shows all the ridiculous things obstructing some of the bike lanes, including a cop car.

Guy gets $50 ticket for riding a bike NOT in the bike lane. Then he makes a video of crashes into various obstructions. Funny. Wants a refund too. He did a nice job of using his video phone to record the interaction with the police.

The Fredericton Police issued a ticket to the activist and blogger Charles Leblanc on Tuesday for violating noise bylaws but the blogger told the police that he intended to keep on protesting. He was protesting a ticket he received for riding his bike on the sidewalk in Fredericton.

When we hear about a nasty crime being committed, the most common reaction is saying, "Oh no, that's terrible!" and then going back to launching birds through the air on our iPhones. But, while most of us think that it's best to leave the crime fighting to those who are actually trained (and paid) for it, sometimes a normal citizen will decide to take the law into his or her own hands ... and end up doing a way better job than the cops.

Listening to FTL2013-04-02 show with Ademo Freeman, I was on Youtube and found this. I thought it would be here already and if it is please delete. I did not see it (It is relatively new). An army of cops invade a residential neighborhood and you can see well into the video when one of the cops are left with the man on the ground he starts beating him. (like the guy could of been any problem in the position he was in). It is a scary scene and wonder what would have happened if any of the cops saw the person who was filming them?

DAYTON, Ohio (CN) - Dayton police "mistook" a mentally handicapped teenager's speech impediment for "disrespect," so they Tasered, pepper-sprayed and beat him and called for backup from "upward of 20 police officers" after the boy rode his bicycle home to ask his mother for help, the boy's mom says. Worthy of note is the fact that Dayton recently lowered its police entry exams score requirements due to pressure from the Federal government...

ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. -- The Elizabethton Police Department and a local mother are at odds over the safety of her ten-year-old daughter. The girl rides her bike to and from Harold McCormick School every day -- one mile each way. Investigators contacted Child Protective Services last week. They think the route is dangerous. The mother, Teresa Tryon, says she knows what's best for her child.
