Garland Cop Patrick Tuter killed suspect Michael Allen, 25, after a high-speed chase. During the fray Tuter managed to squeeze off some 41 rounds from his service weapon, claiming that he felt that his life was in danger. The Garland PD was satisfied with this explanation and were willing to let the matter rest. But then Allen’s family, began asking questions. These questions brought the footage filmed by Tuter’s dashboard camera to light, footage that strongly contradict Tuter’s narrative of events.

The attorney for a Florida man who shot at a car of teens over the weekend, killing one, says the incident bears no resemblance to the Trayvon Martin case. Her client, Michael Dunn, is no "vigilante" but did feel threatened and shot out of "self defense," the attorney said. "There are no comparisons to the Trayvon Martin situation," said Robin Lemonidis, Dunn's attorney. "He is devastated and horrified by the death of the teen." He heard threats from the teens, Dunn told police, he felt threatened and thought he saw a gun in the teens' car.

It’s becoming way too commonplace. A man was fatally shot by police in downtown Seattle on Monday afternoon, according to police.

The shooting occurred on the northwest corner of Boren Ave. and E. Howell St. at approximately 4:15 p.m.

Police said an officer was on patrol when he spotted a man sitting on the sidewalk, whittling, and approached him.

The officer told the man to drop the knife several times, police said, but instead of doing so, he stood up. When the man refused to heed to his commands, the officer opened fire and hit the man.

Officers with the San Francisco Police Department in Northern California shot a man believed to have a knife this morning, but preliminary reports suggest that the victim was in handcuffs while the authorities opened fire.

A St. Petersburg, FL police officer was speeding 21 MPH over the limit, hit an old man in a wheelchair. He killed the man and was fired. Now, if anyone else did that, they'd be put in a cage.
