Shocking video has been released allegedly showing police officers tasering and beating a homeless man to death who they claim was resisting arrest. Though the video is not clear, eye witnesses say the homeless man - Kelly Thomas, 37 - was unable to put up any resistance and was lying on the ground on his front when the attack took place on July 5.

Six Fullerton, California, police officers were placed on involuntary administrative leave as the FBI and Orange County District Attorney investigate the death of a homeless man who was in police custody, authorities said Wednesday.The decision by Police Chief Michael Sellers came just hours before a contentious Fullerton City Council meeting Tuesday evening. More than 100 residents spent three hours at the meeting expressing outrage about the death of Kelly Thomas, who sustained serious injuries during the July 5 arrest by the officers, a police spokesman said.

ARVADA, Colo. -- Two Arvada police officers have been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation looking into allegations of inappropriate conduct by members of the department.

A mentally ill man diagnosed with a bipolar disorder was tasered by two Minneapolis Police officers at a YMCA on Friday. The man was not armed but was struggling with police who had been called to the scene. The taser caused his heart to go into cardiac arrest. He is now in a Minneapolis hospital in critical condition after his heart stopped and he had to resuscitated at least twice:

An impaired, off-duty Kennedy police officer struck and critically injured a pedestrian with his car Friday morning on the South Side but remains free while the investigation continues, Pittsburgh police said.

Pittsburgh police and Kennedy officials refused to name the officer. Sources, however, identified him as Frank A. Caligiuri Jr., 40, a 12-year veteran.

He was released "pending charges," police said.

Karl Laventure, a man believed to be high on bath salts, attacked police officers and took 20 jolts from a Taser as he threatened to eat them yesterday. Frightened golfers at a driving range in Alpharetta, Ga., called police when Laventure went on a rampage, running around half-naked waving a golf club. Video footage shows the crazed man, 21, being held down by several officers and screaming incoherently about God, Biggie, Tupac, etc. "I'll eat you! Don't make me eat you!" he threatened.
