"This past Thursday night, I found this document sitting in the garbage can in front of the NYPD’s Manhattan South Task Force stationhouse on 42nd Street. And by sitting, I mean, it was the only piece of trash in the bottom of the can."

A disabled Atlanta woman says she was sitting outside and waiting for the ice cream man when a cop showed up and ordered her to move. When she refused—because she wasn't in anyone's way, or doing anything wrong—the cop allegedly threw her to the ground.

Sitting on the panel were direct public policy enforcers of said 'war' and private-sector public policy analysts decidedly against drug prohibition; a group that I thought could turn-out to produce an excellent unfiltered discussion, I wasn't disappointed:

On August 23, 2010 Liberty activists from the Orlando area gathered in front of Orlando City Hall to intentionally violate a City Ordinance banning "Group Feeding" (25 or more persons) within a 2 mile radius of city hall.. All local media was alerted prior to our demonstration and City Hall members were even invited to join us.

We violated this law and were able to feed over 100 homeless people without any confrontations with local law enforcement. We hope to continue this trend and explore the freedom of assembly by applying the same tactic to Public Assembly Ordinances.

A Seattle resident named Nick snapped the photo above in late June, passing it on to The Stranger, a weekly newspaper. It shows an empty police patrol car with an unattended semi-automatic rifle sitting on the trunk. A SPD spokesperson professes to being "very embarrassed" on behalf of the force.

“He was walking…. alone…… downtown……….!!!” the officer gritted his teeth at my stupidity and spat out. “He’s 12”, he added as if this would make it all clear. “Do you not see the issue” he spurted?

A man was fatally shot by police in downtown Seattle on Monday afternoon, according to police.

The shooting occurred on the northwest corner of Boren Ave. and E. Howell St. at approximately 4:15 p.m.

Police said an officer was on patrol when he spotted a man sitting on the sidewalk, whittling, and approached him.

The officer told the man to drop the knife several times, police said, but instead of doing so, he stood up. When the man refused to heed to his commands, the officer opened fire and hit the man.
