175 arrested at Occupy Chicago for staying in park after closing and not having a permit

Mayor Tony Villar said: "It is time for Occupy LA to movement from this piece of parkland.. It is time to close the park and restore this to a public park, ... and at 12:01 Monday morning, November 28 the law would be enforced". (Not too surprising that he could decide WHEN laws are enforced.) The Chief of Police added: "This is a national movement which the City of Los Angeles wanted to accommodate. They have had fifty-six days to put forth messages in a public park, which by the way, no one else has been able to use."

Carlos Miller, creator of the popular Photography is Not a Crime blog and video site, was arrested on Tuesday night after attempting to cover the eviction of Occupy Miami protesters from a local park.

The Phoenix City Prosecutor’s office made a bold statement in its Motion to Dismiss 20 cases against Occupy Phoenix protesters yesterday, citing Paul Revere, the Tea Party and the constitutional right to protest. Members of The Phoenix 20 were individually represented pro bono by a troop of 17 volunteer defense attorneys. Originally 45 defendants faced charges, but 25 pled guilty to lesser charges. Occupy MN: Protesters occupy veteran Bobby Hull's foreclosed home

While many fret about the waning momentum of the larger Occupy movement, Occupy Foreclosures seems to be picking up steam.

Occupy MN has been involved in an attempt to save three homeowners from eviction -- the latest is Marine veteran Bobby Hull. Yesterday afternoon, 100 demonstrators gathered on the front lawn of his Richfield home and declared their intention to halt Hull's February 17th eviction date. If they cannot, they will refuse to leave.
