Obama has just signed into LAW the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012. Section 1021 of this act calls for indefinite detention without trial for those deemed "terrorists". Section 1022 requires that persons arrested and detained under the provisions of section 1021 are required to be held by the U.S. Armed forces. This may or may not include lawful resident aliens. FREETOWN (Reuters) – Police in Sierra Leone have called in the army and fire brigade to try to take back control of a police station which has been overrun by hundreds of poisonous snakes.

Snake charmers have tried in vain to lure the beasts, mostly cobras and vipers, out of Gerihun police station in the southern district of Bo. Attempts to smoke them out also failed.

Officers and residents wanting to report crimes have grown too afraid to come to the building.

Today I was harassed and ticketed by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority police at the entrance to the Long Island Railroad portion of Penn Station on W. 34th St. for lawfully photographing armed soldiers and police. Please excuse the darkness of the majority of this piece of media as I had the video cam in my pocket to pick up audio which goes in and out at times but gives you an idea of some of that which was said by the officers and myself.

Christopher Dennis Dollar came into the police station lobby and handed the pill to an officer, according to a news release from the DeFuniak Springs Police Department. He told the officer that he needed to be arrested for possession of Xanax without a prescription. Dollars was charged with a third-degree felony for possession of drugs without a prescription.
