The Senate is gearing up for a vote on Monday or Tuesday that goes to the very heart of who we are as Americans. The Senate will be voting on a bill that will direct American military resources not at an enemy shooting at our military in a war zone, but at American citizens and other civilians far from any battlefield — even people in the United States itself.

The Senate is going to vote on whether Congress will give this president—and every future president — the power to order the military to pick up and imprison without charge or trial civilians anywhere in the world.

Wall street protests are spreading with demonstrations already online in Denver, Los Angeles, and Chicago. More are being organized as you read this!

Labor day has come and gone, and there is an election this November. The campaign season is on. The airwaves, the internet, and what’s left of the print media are saturated with political ads. All of this leads many Americans to wonder who they’re going to vote for. Quite a few realize that the choice is essentially limited to the Democratic scoundrel or the Republican scoundrel. Regardless, to too many people voting is seen as a patriotic, almost sacred duty. Clichés abound about how our forefathers gave their lives so we can have the right to vote today.

Unfortunately, too much attention got directed to Clint Eastwood and lost in the discussion was a plank on the GOP platform of interest to those desiring sound money.

The fact that your vote will not change the results actually is a great plus for you! Now you can simply vote your conscience and not have to worry about your "vote being wasted". Voting for someone or some issue that you don't really believe in is really unethical. For most people, to do so is upsetting and shameful. So, don't bother. Number 1, do your duty and vote and number 2, vote your conscience. I think you will feel a whole lot better about it.

Great Article, Though I highly doubt we can get the entire nation not to vote. The idea is excellent... Oh Still Vote for Ron Paul.. then move to New Hampshire. =)
