The City Council for the City of Forest Park, Georgia, which is just south of Atlanta, has passed a law that equates breastfeeding with nudity and public indecency. According to the new law in Forest Park, women can't breastfeed kids older than two years old in public.

Telling a lie on public sidewalks in San Francisco would be prohibited under legislation proposed Tuesday by Supervisor Chris Daly, with repeat "fish stories" carrying a maximum penalty of $500 and 30 days in jail, though San Franciscans would be free to bear false witness elsewhere, such as parks, public buildings, and City Hall.

The right to bare all in San Francisco might soon come with some restrictions under proposed legislation. Supervisor Scott Wiener (not a joke) introduced legislation requiring those going nude to cover public seating before sitting down and put on clothes before entering restaurants. He said it would ensure that public health standards are maintained by requiring nudists to put a towel or other item between their body and a public seat.

San Francisco, unlike most other cities in Silicon Valley, has a 1.5% payroll tax. And even more stunning is that they consider gains on stock options part of payroll, meaning that any San Francisco based company going public or being acquired could get hit with a massive tax bill in the tens of millions of dollars.

After delaying the vote so that it would not be a campaign issue, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors has now voted to ban toy giveaways in Happy Meals and similar fast-food offerings aimed at kids unless they have reduced sodium, fat and sugar content and include fruit and vegetables.

Yesterday, V-Day, the Public Protection Committee of the Alameda County Board of Supervisors held a public hearing in Oakland, CA on a request from the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office to purchase a surveillance Drone, which would make my County the first in California to acquire it’s own local Drone. Of course Sheriff Ahern insisted that the Board of Supervisors refer to it as a “small Unmanned Aerial System” and not a “Drone.” He also objected to the term “surveillance” preferring ”observation.” As if there’s a difference.

The Board of Supervisors just banned toys in Happy Meals, which drew worldwide attention.

Now the latest ban being proposed in San Francisco is on male circumcision.

A proposed ballot measure for the November 2011 ballot – when voters will be electing the San Francisco’s next mayor – would amend The City’s police code “to make it a misdemeanor to circumcise, excise, cut or mutilate the foreskin, testicle or penis of another person who has not attained the age of 18."

FOREST PARK, GA -- A group of mothers plan to use lactation to protest new breastfeeding restrictions in Forest Park. The mothers are upset over a new public indecency law that could lead to fines or jail time. Last week, the Forest Park city council approved an ordinance that bans breastfeeding children over 2 years old in public. Some women are saying the city doesn’t have a right to make that decision.
