Addicting Info does it again. Last time they came up with If you hate taxes, here are 102 things NOT to do. Even though they graciously gave us permission to cross-post, I’d rather tease you and then send you to their place to give them some well-deserved traffic.

In general, it's easier to be negative. It's easier for us at Cracked, because it's easier to write jokes about terrible things than nice things. It's easier for us as a generation, because to admit that the world isn't that bad right now would be to admit that we have it easier than our grandparents did and that the world thus has the right to expect more from us.

But as much as we like to joke about the sorry state of the world, the facts really don't back us up.

What do you really need?

It's become a national question. With jobs and money scarce, consumers are taking inventory and tossing lots of stuff once deemed important into a humongous discard pile. To safeguard the essentials—a safe home and supportive community, the kids' education, Internet connectivity, sustenance for a pet—Americans are giving up lots of other things. Some sacrifices are painful; others bring surprise benefits.

Dear Liberty Community / Activists, I'd like/need your help. I recently wrote a letter about America being a police state which got good play on Northern California's #1 radio show. I've been contacted by them and told that if I can come up with a much larger list, they will "...post it and promote the hell out of it!"

So, I'd like to make a 101 list in the style of my original letter.
