Social Media Policies At GM, Target, DISH Network Deemed Unlawful By Labor Official - WASHINGTON -- In an effort to control employees' activities on Facebook and Twitter, some U.S. companies have instituted social media policies that run afoul of labor law and infringe on workers' rights, according to a memo issued Wednesday by the general counsel of the National Labor Relations Board.

Oracle Corporation has 61% of its employees based outside of "the Americas". And yet, the number of US-based employees at the company has gone down less than 1%.

If most of the employees are outside the US, just which country is "stealing the other country's jobs" ?!

For example, although he had a lock on labor's vote, he expressed caution about public sector unions. Here is a little-known letter he wrote to the president of the National Federation of Federal Employees in 1937.

"They" are talking about changing some of the exceptions to child labor laws regarding farming. I like to rant about reactionary laws, so here's the latest example.

“...I am offering my male genitals (full penis, testes, scrotum) as a meal for 100,000 yen…. I will prepare and cook as the buyer requests, at his chosen location.”

a Christian university based in Rome, Georgia, has mandated all employees sign a newly created “personal lifestyle statement” that, among other demands insists they “reject as acceptable all sexual activity not in agreement with the Bible, including, but not limited to, premarital sex, adultery and homosexuality.” Shorter, a private, coeducational, liberal arts university, has 200 employees, and was founded in 1873. Employees who refuse to sign the lifestyle statement are subject to termination.
