In the lost Golden Age, people lived in harmony with nature. There was no disease, pain, work, or conflict. Everyone lived in perfect peace. Insects didn't bite you. There were no extremes of temperature, and you could wander naked through the fields. If you happened to be hungry, all you had to do to satisfy your craving was reach up and pick a sumptuous ripe fruit off a nearby tree. However, Man lives by technology. The human race has never existed in a state of harmony with nature.

Can Social Networking Change Our Political Consciousness?

Twitter, Facebook and the many other social networks that have emerged are reminding us exactly how small the planet is, and how seemingly mundane or personal issues (where you live, what you feel) have all kinds of ramifications.

An interesting pamphlet authored by a British Islamic group called Hizb ut-Tahrir calls for a Global Islamic Government to restore "Democracy". Does this conflict with the principle of freedom of religion/association and the separation of church and state? Or should individuals who choose an Islamic System of Government be left alone? Discuss.

"Country" is from "Terra Contrata" meaning a spread of land. It is a non-political term concerning the land, its people and their customs. "Nation" comes from "Natus" meaning that which is born and is the dominant racial subtext of a country's politics. "State" comes from "status" meaning condition/standing and is the political machinery of the Nation. A "Country" is a friend of liberty while the "Nation" and "State" are its enemy.
