That silver coin Ron Paul was holding… was not an American Silver Eagle as the press has been reporting. When we got a closer look, we realized that Ron Paul was holding one of our very own coins, “rebel rounds” just like the ones in our upcoming film Silver Circle,

When Ron Paul brandished a Silver Circle “Rebel Round” in Ben Bernanke’s face during a House Financial Services Committee hearing it was an unprecedented marketing win for us.

We produce the Rebel Rounds both as a replica of the coins minted by the Rebels in the Silver Circle movie and as an investment or barter currency for those real world Rebels who understand the economics of fiat paper. But we could never have predicted the boom in sales that immediately followed Ron Paul’s indirect endorsement.

The premiere event will take place at Cinema Village East in NYC from March 22nd through March 28th. Showings will be held at 1:00pm, 3:00pm, 7:10pm, and 9:15pm on each day of the premiere event. After the 7:10pm showing on opening night (March 22), Austrian economist Peter Schiff will be conducting a Q&A along with the Silver Circle team. Tickets are available at the link below:

It’s a fun way to introduce any comic enthusiast to the evils of the Federal Reserve and the virtues of honest money. As they read about the Rebels taking on Fed thugs they can feel the weight of the silver in their hand and have some idea what we’re all fighting for.

Over at some site called Redif Blog a user named Randall Bergeron is offering a high quality download of the Silver Circle Movie. There’s just one problem. We haven’t uploaded it anywhere. We’re close, but not that close. The weirdest thing is the description of the film. In the first line he writes ”They still have midnight showings where audience members dress the parts and act out the movie,” but that’s a line pulled from a description of the Rocky Horror Picture show I wrote a few weeks ago.

To get to the bottom of the Silver Price Suppression fiasco we contacted Ron Hera, a close friend of the Silver Circle team. Ron is the founder of Hera Research, LLC, and the principal author of its newsletter. He’s an outspoken advocate of the free market, and Austrian economics. He holds a master’s degree from Stanford University and is a member of Mensa and of the Ludwig von Mises Institute. His articles provide deeply researched analysis to help investors in commodities and precious metals. So, of course we went to him for answers about silver price manipulation.

Behind the scenes part of the mission of Silver Circle is educational. In the backdrop of a gripping thriller-romance the audience will hear the characters introduce the basic concepts of honest currency, political corruption and liberty itself. But far deeper than that, whether you agree with the politics of the Rebels or not, the message of the story is something tragically absent from most comic books: You too can be a hero.
