(Ohio) - Chances of motorists being pulled over or stopped in a Ohio checkpoint this weekend are very high. Cincinatti radio discusses how 88 Counties in Ohio are home to over 900 Police Departments. These include the State Highway Patrol, County Sheriffs, Township Police, City and Town Police. Each participating in this weekends Click-It or Ticket with extra patrols in order to recieve the dedicated Federal highway funding.

Fort Drum is going to start sending out two person "courtesy patrols" to local bars and restaurants several nights a week. The patrols will target fights, drinking and driving and other misbehavior.

Each “courtesy patrol” will consist of an officer, and a senior non-commissioned officer. Several patrols will operate each Thursday through Sunday from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m., effective immediately.

Since 2007, state troopers conducted fourteen "safety checkpoints" at a busy intersection six miles north of Camp Zoe -- and not so coincidentally, they did so on days when a high volume of traffic was headed to the campground for events like Schwagstock and Spookstock. They arrested a total of 2,388 people, including 171 people on charges of felony drug possession and 782 for misdemeanor drug possession.
