A student's outgoing voice mail message quoting the theme to "Fresh Prince of Bel Air" led to a school lockdown in Ambridge, Pa. A receptionist from a doctor's office called to remind student Travis Clawson about an upcoming appointment. Clawson didn't pick up, so the call went to voice mail. The receptionist heard what sounded like a threat about "shooting" and "school" on Clawson's outgoing message.

A Chardon High School student wounded in Monday's early morning shooting has been declared brain-dead. Russell King Jr., 17, was a junior who studied technologies for alternative energies. Chardon student Daniel Parmertor died hours after the shooting. Three other students, Nickolas Wajczak, 17, Demetrius Hewlin and Joy Rickers, 18, remain hospitalized. (Cleveland Plain Dealer)

Los Angeles (CNN) -- A police officer in Los Angeles who claimed he was shot while patrolling near a high school has now been arrested for making up the story, authorities said.
Officer Jeff Stenroos of the Los Angeles Unified School District Police Department had said he was shot in the chest on January 19 in the west San Fernando Valley. He said the shooting happened when he got out of his squad car to check on a man peering into parked vehicles near the El Camino High School.

During a fire drill at a middle school in Worcester, England, students aged 10 to 13 looked on in horror as "as a man appeared brandishing a gun and appeared to shoot dead Mr. Kent, their science teacher, as he ran across a field." It was only ten minutes after the shooting that teachers revealed the whole thing to be fake.

Last February a student at Fulmore Middle School says she received a ticket for "disruption of class" after spraying perfume on herself.

"I didn't do anything wrong," said 13-year-old Sarah, who was in the sixth grade at the time she was ticketed. "I thought I didn't smell good and the next thing you know, the whole class complains for no reason."

If a high school student goes to administrators to report that she and another teenage girl were raped by a boy at the school, you might think that the immediate course of action would be to keep the survivors safe while investigating the allegations. But a student at Upper St. Claire High School is suing her school district for using her as bait, which resulted in her being raped a second time.

A student is questioning whether his faith or his fashion is under fire at his high school in Loveland. Thompson Valley High School officials have confiscated his rosary beads twice since school started three weeks ago.

And he says they never told him, or his family, why.

"A judge threw a 17-year-old 11th grade honor student from Willis High School in jail after she missed school again.

Judge Lanny Moriarty said last month Diane Tran was in his Justice of the Peace court for truancy and he warned her then to stop missing school. But she recently missed classes again so Wednesday he issued a summons and had her arrested in open court when she appeared."
