WikiLeaks announced today it has begun publishing the Syria Files – more than two million emails from Syrian political figures, ministries and associated companies, dating from August 2006 to March 2012. WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange could not attend today’s press conference announcing the release of the data trove because he is still inside the Ecuadorean embassy in London in an attempt to avoid extradition to Sweden.

The New Hampshire State March will be held April 10, 2010 from 10AM – 2PM at the State House in Concord, N.H. A brief march down North Main Street will kick-off the event. It's amazing to see the double-think from the scientists as they try to explain government sponsorship of science as a good thing, but in the same breath explain away further centralization and new government mandates as a bad thing. From a libertarian perspective, this reads almost like an article from The Onion.

There is an entertaining and informative rap video out called Gangsta Government that addresses abuses of freedom by the current Obama administration, although the essence of the criticism is at least bipartisan. The lyrics are on the same page.

Well, well... I think we just proven that government isn't exactly needed for one more thing. Statists commence cold sweat.

Instead of prosecuting elite computer hackers, the US government should recruit them to launch cyber-attacks against Islamist terrorists and other foes, according to a leading military thinker and government adviser. The brilliance of hacking experts could be put to use on behalf of the US in the same way as German rocket scientists were enlisted after the second world war, said John Arquilla, a professor of defence analysis at the US Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, in an interview with the Guardian.
