Picture your ideal future. OK, not your ideal future, where you're the last man on earth fighting the zombie horde, but society's ideal future: Energy is clean and limitless, goods are plentiful and machines take care of all the dirty work. So everybody's happy, right?

But in many ways, that future is already here, and it can be described in five letters:

FARTS.

I should probably explain.

R Buckminster Fuller promotes a society of abundance and the obseletion of politics. However it seems at times that he borders on promoting everyone to be forced into his design of society? What do you think? Perhaps he is not thinking clearly.

On June 26th 2010 the seeds of a voluntary society were sown in Lancaster New Hampshire. Participants in the annual Porcupine Freedom Festival held a signing ceremony to inaugurate their founding document, The Shire Society Declaration, which some have called a new declaration of independence.

A set of proposals to improve one area of American society that desperately needs it: the inner city. There’s no need to recite the gory statistics on incomes, unemployment, poor schools, violence, fractured families, African-American men in jail — or the challenge that folks in these core urban areas face in extracting themselves from that mess. Here then is my three-point libertarian program for urban renewal.

For those of you minarchists who are on demand feeding, this video gives an excellent introduction as to how the only legitimate government services (i.e., security, arbitration, incarceration) might be handled by the free market in a voluntary society. As the creator of the video himself states, the ideas presented in the video are only a start. Since a voluntary society in modern times has never been tried, we don’t know exactly what the structure of property protection services would eventually be like

On June 26th 2010 a group of sovereign individuals enter voluntarily together to form a new society. Will this end up being a very important historical event in the future, only time will tell. Witness this event and see what it is all about.
