CEDARTOWN, Ga. - The daughter of a 76-year-old woman says her mother is hospitalized with a heart attack she suffered after drug agents who had the wrong address swarmed around her Polk County home.

A Massachusetts woman says the FBI used a chain saw blade to cut through her door and held her at gunpoint for at least 30 minutes before agents realized they were conducting a raid at the wrong home. She says she was held face-down on the floor at gunpoint while her 3-year-old daughter Ji’anni cried in another room. It turns out agents were after the other tenant on the floor of the multi-unit building who was suspected of dealing drugs. The raid was called Operation Red Wolf, a two-year investigation into drugs and weapons, WHDH.com reported.

Sylvie Nelson's border crossings are anything but routine. Customs agents sometimes order her out of her car. Twice, they handcuffed her in front of her young children. Once, agents swarmed her car and handcuffed her husband, too.

She tells them: It's not me you want, it's a man with the same birth date and a similar name. Agents always confirm that and let her go.

Then it happens again. And again.

After a 2005 Indiana law limited how much cold or allergy medicine containing ephedrine or pseudoephedrine an individual could buy, law enforcement saw a decline in homegrown meth labs.

Those cold and allergy active ingredients were commonly used to make methamphetamine.

But meth abuse is still a significant concern.

"Like any other law or tactic, people will find a way around it. Meth has not gone away," Holeman said.

Over a one-year period during 2011 and 2012, some 6 million gallons of maple syrup – about $18 million worth – was stolen from the “strategic maple syrup reserve” controlled by the Federation of Quebec Maple Syrup Producers (FPAQ). The cartel’s syrup was taken from a Saint-Louis-de-Blandford warehouse, which some clever thieves had access to because they just so happened to be renting another section of the same storage facility. Last week, three men were arrested in connection with the heist.

Border Patrol agents smuggling weed and coke. Immigration agents forging documents and robbing drug dealers. TSA employees caught with child porn. Those are just a few of the crimes perpetrated by Department of Homeland Security employees in just the past year.

FITCHBURG (CBS) – It’s going to be a while before things get back to normal for Judy Sanchez and her three-year-old daughter.

Last Thursday, a team of FBI agents swarmed her apartment building as part of a massive citywide drug and weapons gang raid.

Trouble is, Sanchez lives in apartment 2R.
