Federal authorities have arrested a New York Police Department officer on charges he helped a crew of bandits rob drug dealers.

Prosecutors in Brooklyn alleged Thursday that Emmanuel Tavarez supplied the crew with NYPD raid jackets, bulletproof vests, handcuffs and badges so they could impersonate police officers during staged raids on drug dens in Queens and elsewhere.

They say he also acted as a lookout during armed holdups that netted hundreds of kilograms of cocaine.

Government, public health and dairy industry officials want to restrict the sale and distribution of raw milk, citing safety concerns. But small dairy farmers, organic consumers' advocates and raw milk drinkers say that safety isn't the real issue -- it's control of the dairy market. The FDA and CDC have been particularly aggressive recently in their efforts to crack down on raw milk under the pretense of public health safety.

According to a report in The New Orleans Times-Picayune, funds from NIDA helped create the dangerous marijuana alternative known as "Spice" and "K2."

The funds were disbursed in the mid-1990s to a Clemson University researcher named Dr. John W. Huffman. It was while searching for a cure to marijuana "addiction" that Huffman developed the formula for Spice:

The City of Los Angeles is demanding payment from Infowars over the removal of “illegally posted signs” that were not produced by Infowars nor posted by any of its employees.

A letter from Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa’s office claims that, “An investigation has disclosed that you or your agent(s) have illegally posted signs on public property,” adding that such activity is a violation of California Penal Code.

NDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The Indianapolis police chief has demoted his second-in-command and two other officials, saying they mishandled how they dealt with an officer's involvement in a motorcyclist's crash death earlier this month.

Chief Paul Ciesielski announced the actions Saturday at a news conference with Mayor Greg Ballard and Public Safety Director Frank Straub.

"Members of my leadership team failed me, my department and the public," Ciesielski said.

SEATTLE — Washington voters legalized recreational pot use on Tuesday, setting up a showdown with a federal government that backs the drug's prohibition.

Initiative 502 would create a system of state-licensed marijuana growers, processors and retail stores, where adults over 21 can buy up to an ounce. It also establishes a standard blood test limit for driving under the influence.

Mayor Bing of Detroit wants to shrink the size of the city, and intends on accomplishing that by 'relocating' residents and shutting off city services to other parts of the city. Of course, he wants Federal funds to accomplish this and is anticipating lots of legal challenges to his plan.

Everyday thousands of items are confiscated by the TSA at airports for "public safety". Now it turns out that these items are being recycled as a means for revenue generation for states. Thats right taxpayers pay bureacrats to confiscate their nail clippers so that they can sell it back to them...or more accurately sell it to street vendors who then sell it back to them.
