During Tucson's first rush hour since a weekend shooting left six people dead and 14 wounded, including Representative Gabrielle Giffords, talk radio hosts pushed back against arguments that their heated political rhetoric had played a role in the tragedy.
Recognizing when you're delivering bad advice is half the battle. While you may believe that your advice is sound and that the recipient should follow it, not all advice is applicable to every person and in every situation. Before you start to pontificate on why your best friend should dump her husband/lose weight/raise the kids differently/choose a different college major and so forth, carefully consider what you're saying and how your opinion could impact on another person’s life.
...a regular listener to Free Talk Live, a libertarian/voluntaryist talk show syndicated on 80+ radio stations across America, and by internet and satellite feed around the world. The topic of private production of justice comes up frequently, and while the hosts usually do an excellent job of describing some of the theories of various thinkers on the topic, you can almost feel the disbelief, not necessarily of the callers, but of the other listeners.
The indonesian people are fully aware of the lack of sustainability in the current financial systems. In this video it is explained why they are looking to gold and silver as their way out of the minefields created by the banking systems. LQQK!
Libertarianism is not friend of bigotry; FTL hosts Mark and Ian are passionate advocates for the rights of immigrants, for example. I do not like having to show this link. I wish it weren't so. But, I must speak out. I cannot sit idly by and look the other way.
The 'paleolibertarian' strategy has grave costs. If I don't bring this list into the open, then the MSM will. And they will not be as understanding. This is not to suggest that any of the names you may recognize are racists.
My show is for MOMS! Who says women don't listen to talk radio. I think they just need something they think is worth listening to! As a mom I will host it and present a topic. For example - preschool. When should a child start preschool? Is one year old too young? Is four years old too late? Do kids need preschool at all? Is it all too serious these days? Are all preschools the same? When did you (as a mom) start preschool? Moms can call in and make comments. All comments are welcome. It is an open forum!
