Google has officially shut down Google.cn (the censored Chinese search engine) and is now redirecting to uncensored Hong Kong version.

Hey Google is actually giving stats on how many requests they get from governments to supress or delete url from the search engine. Unfortunately no stats on China...

"The U.S. International Trade Commission agreed in a unanimous vote today that Chinese solar manufacturers have benefited from illegal subsidies from its government and sold products at less than fair value, the final decision in more than a year-long trade tussle."

China has banned newspapers, publishers and website-owners from using foreign words - particularly English ones. It said standardized Chinese should be the norm: the press should avoid foreign abbreviations and acronyms, as well as "Chinglish" - which is a mix of English and Chinese.
