The local community in Fullerton, California, has been shaken by the violent death of Kelly Thomas, a homeless man who suffered from schizophrenia. On July 5, a local student caught some raw footage of police officers utilizing a Taser to subdue Thomas after he purportedly resisted arrest. According to sources, the man was beaten so profusely that he was placed on life support and then died several days later.

The last thing the Pueblo sheriff's deputy ever thought he would have to do is spend a year and a half seeking justice on behalf of his son who was beaten by Denver Police officers.

Heathcote police were called to an incident in the small town of Axedale, in central Victoria about 12.30pm AEST yesterday, where they used capsicum spray to subdue the 12-year-old boy and took him into custody.

Today Victoria Police said in a statement the boy was "acting in a threatening manner towards police and a family member" and "capsicum spray was deployed as a last resort to subdue the boy".

They would not say if he had a weapon.
